Congratulations to Kulyash N. Shamshidinova on her appointment as the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

Kulyash Shamshidinova was appointed to the position of Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the presidential Decree dated February 25, 2019.

Today, February 26, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Gulshara Abdykalykova, presented the new minister to the Ministry’ staff, as well as on behalf of the Head of State thanked former Minister, Yerlan Sagadiev, for the work done in the field of education.

Kulyash Shamshidinova held the position of Vice-Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan twice: from February 2002 to May 2005 and from April 2007 to October 2009. Also, she held the position of Chairperson of Executive Board of the Autonomous educational organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual schools" from 2009 to the present.

During this time, a lot of work was carried out to modernize the national education system. Thus, in secondary education, the foundation was laid for the renewal of the content and structure of education based on national traditions; education of Kazakhstani’ patriotism and priority development of the state language; transformation of education content from knowledge-centered to result-oriented education.

At the same time, the tasks were implemented for early study of a foreign language and Informatics bases, improvement of forms and methods of work with gifted children as intellectual potential of our country.

In this regard, IQAA’s staff congratulates Kulyash Shamshidinova with the appointment and wishes fruitful work and new achievements!

IQAA also wishes Yerlan Sagadiev, Ex-Minister of MoES RK, good health and new projects for the Kazakhstani’ benefit.
